    Barclays has been named Best Investment Bank in the UK in Euromoney magazine’s annual Awards for Excellence. This is the 10th time in 11 years that the bank has been presented with the award.

    Commenting on the win, Euromoney noted Barclays as “one of few European investment banks capable of competing with the big five US based firms that dominate global investment banking.”

    In addition, the strength of the bank’s capabilities in the debt capital markets was described by Euromoney as “almost a given”, with the publication recognising the support Barclays provided to its UK issuer base at the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict when markets were particularly volatile.

    This is great recognition of the fantastic outcomes our teams across the CIB are delivering for clients. Awards like this underscore the terrific progress we are making against our CIB priorities and are a true demonstration of the value a fully integrated corporate and investment bank can bring to our clients.
